The price of gold in Pakistan witnessed a further increase on Wednesday, reflecting global market trends.
In the local market, the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs700, settling at Rs307,000, according to data shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold hiked by Rs601, taking it to Rs263,203.
In the international market also, the price of gold saw an increase of $5 on Wednesday, reaching $2,921 per ounce with an additional premium of $20.
The price of 24-karat silver in the local market also hiked by Rs54 to settle at Rs3,369 per tola.
