Pakistani model and actress Saheefa Jabbar Khattak is under fire for criticizing her househelp’s spending choices, with many calling her statements tone-deaf and insensitive.
Saheefa took to Instagram stories, sharing her frustration over how her house-help spent PKR 50,000, buying a bicycle and clothes for her children instead of making what Saheefa considered a “smarter” financial decision.
Her remarks did not sit well with social media users, who slammed her for policing someone else’s happiness. Many felt that Saheefa’s comments reflected class privilege and a lack of empathy for the struggles of domestic workers.
