Pakistan’s losing streak continues as New Zealand clinch ODI series

Pakistan’s struggles in international cricket continued as they suffered another defeat against New Zealand in the second ODI, handing the hosts a decisive 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

The match, played at Seddon Park in Hamilton, saw New Zealand post a competitive total of 292/8 in their 50 overs after being invited to bat first by Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Mitchell Hay starred for the Black Caps, scoring an unbeaten 99 off 78 balls, smashing 7 sixes and 7 fours to guide his team to a strong total.

Pakistan’s batting collapse

In response, Pakistan’s batting lineup crumbled under pressure, getting bowled out for 208 in 42 overs. Faheem Ashraf was the top scorer for Pakistan with 73 runs, while Naseem Shah fought hard, completing his half-century in just 41 balls.

The rest of the batting lineup failed to deliver:

Pakistan’s bowling effort

Earlier in the match, Pakistan’s bowlers put in a decent effort, with Mohammad Wasim Jr. and Sufyan Muqeem taking two wickets each, while Faheem Ashraf, Akif Javed, and Haris Rauf claimed one wicket apiece.
