JI's Hafiz Naeem urges nation to stand against Palestinian genocide

A countrywide shutter-down strike was observed across Pakistan on the call of Jamaat-e-Islami, with major cities including Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta, Mardan, and Kot Addu witnessing a near-complete halt to business activities.

Shops, markets, and even medical stores remained closed in many areas, while traffic remained unusually thin on the roads.

In cities like Matiari, Noshki, Malakand, and Hangu, commercial hubs, shopping centres, and hotels stayed shut. The strike displayed an unprecedented level of solidarity with Palestinians, reflecting widespread anger over Israeli aggression in Gaza.

In a statement, he urged the people to not only show solidarity but also loudly condemn Israel and the United States for their roles.

Naeem emphasised that love for Palestine is deeply rooted among Pakistanis and called on the international community to act against the continued oppression of Palestinians.
