Sistrology sisters mocked for broken English during USA trip

Pakistani YouTuber Iqra Kanwal and her sister, Zainab Faisal, are facing heavy trolling online after their English communication skills became the centre of attention in a recent vlog filmed during their vacation in the United States.

Iqra, who runs the popular Sistrology family vlog channel, along with Zainab and their parents, are currently exploring the U.S. Their latest vlog captured their visit to the Statue of Liberty, where an unexpected moment took place — their parents got separated in the crowd, prompting the sisters to seek help from nearby locals.

While the situation itself was lighthearted, what caught the internet’s attention was the sisters’ struggle to communicate in English.

Clips from the vlog quickly went viral, not for the scenic views, but for the sisters’ broken English. The internet did not hold back. One user commented, “English is not coming to me.” Another joked, “English is not finding them.”

A particularly harsh remark read, “Thank God we have YouTube; otherwise, she would have been our doctor.” (As per claims made by Iqra Kanwal, she holds an MBBS degree.)

Some viewers tried to offer constructive feedback. One user suggested they should have said, “We are looking for our parents. We are unable to find them.” Others questioned how an MBBS graduate could struggle with basic English phrases.

While the trolling was in full swing, some fans defended the sisters, reminding critics that language should not define a person’s worth or intelligence, especially when speaking a second language.

Iqra Kanwal began her vlogging journey in 2020 and has since become one of Pakistan’s successful digital creators. Despite the backlash, her vlogs continue to trend, drawing millions of views from fans in Pakistan and abroad.
