Pakistan Army taught India a lesson it will never forget: ISPR DG

In an interview with Aljazeera, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, said the Pakistan Army has taught India a lesson it will never forget, adding that the military’s strategic response will be studied in the future.

“We selected 26 targets and successfully hit all of them,” he said, referring to a recent military escalation. “We told the truth, didn’t twist facts, and never resorted to lies. In contrast, the Indian government and media continue to promote fictional narratives.”

DG ISPR dismissed India’s allegations linking Pakistan to an attack on the Golden Temple as absurd, stating that targeting religious sites goes against Pakistan’s values and religious beliefs.

He emphasized that Pakistan responded to Indian aggression by erecting a “steel wall of resistance.”

“We don’t have an $80 billion defence budget like India,” he noted. “Yet, with limited resources, we responded effectively using locally developed JF-17 aircraft and indigenous missiles.”

General Chaudhry warned against any military confrontation between nuclear-armed states, calling it a reckless and dangerous idea. “India has been playing with fire by fostering a war-like atmosphere for years. However, we will never bow to Indian dominance or threats.”

He revealed that Pakistan still has undisclosed capabilities that have not been displayed. “Our response compelled the Indian spokesperson to call for de-escalation,” he added.

The DG ISPR concluded by stating that lasting peace in South Asia is impossible without a just resolution to the Kashmir dispute.
