Pakistan’s existence ensures survival of all political parties: President Zardari

President Asif Ali Zardari met with a delegation of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders and ticket holders from Attock, led by Punjab Governor Salim Haider, at Governor House Lahore.

During the meeting, President Zardari said that “if there is a Pakistan, then all political parties exist. The PPP has always made sacrifices for the country and for democracy.”

He recalled that during heightened tensions between Pakistan and India, the PPP stood shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces, along with all political parties, and India was forced to retreat. He also reiterated that the PPP represents laborers, working-class citizens, government employees, and the underprivileged segments of society.

President Zardari noted that the PPP has become increasingly active and dynamic in Punjab. Governor Salim Haider stated that “Bilawal Bhutto is the people’s choice and will be the country’s next young prime minister.”

The delegation also extended an invitation to the President to visit Attock.
