ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly condemned Israel’s recent “aggression” against Iran, asserting Tehran’s right to self-defence under the UN Charter, Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said during his weekly briefing to journalists on Thursday.
Khan emphasised that the Israeli actions constitute a “violation of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” and urged the international community to “bring the aggressor to justice.”
In a significant show of solidarity, Khan highlighted that 21 Muslim countries have jointly rejected Israel’s aggression against Iran, calling the actions a breach of international laws and the UN Charter.
Furthermore, the FO spokesperson reiterated Pakistan’s long-standing call for the urgent establishment of the Middle East as a zone free of nuclear and major weapons of mass destruction.
