‘Op Sindoor falls short’: Gen Asim Munir slams India’s illogical justifications

Field Marshal and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir has warned that India does not realize the potentially catastrophic consequences of provoking a nuclear state.

He said any misadventure by India would be met with an immediate and forceful response without hesitation.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir made these remarks during his visit to the National Defence University (NDU) in Islamabad, where he addressed graduates of the National Security and War Course. During his speech, the Army Chief highlighted the evolving nature of warfare.

The ISPR spokesperson said the Army Chief emphasized the importance of coordination between civil and military institutions, mental preparedness, understanding of emerging challenges, and the need for strengthening professional competence. He also appreciated the role of the National Defence University in shaping future military leadership.

General Asim Munir criticized India for making illogical justifications following its failure in Operation Sundoor. He said these justifications reflect India’s lack of operational readiness and strategic foresight. He added that India continues to avoid acknowledging Pakistan’s strategic planning and local capabilities.

Army Chief further said India has consistently demonstrated selfishness and narrow-mindedness in international relations, while Pakistan has built principled, long-term partnerships based on mutual respect and diplomacy. Pakistan has proven itself as a net regional stabilizer in the region.

He asserted that India failed to achieve its military objectives during Operation Sundoor, and allegations of external support for Pakistan’s success are baseless and irresponsible. Such statements show India’s reluctance to accept Pakistan’s achievements.

Field Marshal Asim Munir said India’s attempts to involve other countries in bilateral military conflicts are a sign of weak political strategy. He called India’s unfounded statements an unsuccessful effort to project itself as a regional security provider, especially when neighboring countries are increasingly frustrated with India’s aggressive posture and Hindutva-driven policies.

He made it clear that any attempt to harm Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity will not be tolerated. Any act of aggression against Pakistani citizens, military installations, economic centers, or ports will receive a strong and decisive response. He warned that Pakistan’s reply will be harsher and more effective than the enemy anticipates.

Field Marshal Asim Munir concluded by stating that India’s lack of understanding about the consequences of provoking a nuclear state could lead to disastrous outcomes. He held that any future conflict would squarely be the responsibility of India, which he described as an arrogant aggressor lacking strategic insight. He reminded that wars are not won through media rhetoric, imported expensive weapons, or political slogans but through firm belief, professional excellence, operational transparency, and national determination.
