Internet sensation Chahat Fateh Ali Khan has announced the launch of a full-fledged music and acting academy in the United Kingdom.
Speaking to a group of journalists in London, the singer-turned-actor revealed that the initiative, which initially began as a music academy, has now expanded to include formal acting courses.
“The primary aim is to give new talent a platform,” Khan said, adding that he wants to help aspiring entertainers refine their skills and gain visibility.
Located in the UK, the academy will focus not only on technical aspects of acting but also on linguistic training. “We will start by refining the students’ accents,” he explained. “They’ll be taught Urdu, English, and Punjabi, as mastering these three languages is essential for acting.”
The academy will also utilise Khan’s considerable social media following to promote its students. “I believe major filmmakers will approach me directly in the future, as I plan to promote my trained singers and actors myself,” he said.
During the interaction, Khan also shared details about his upcoming feature-length film, which he said will be released in 50 cinemas across Pakistan by the end of 2025. According to him, this will be his second film, following an earlier production completed two years ago.
“I always had a passion for the entertainment industry, but it was ten years ago that I realised this is truly my calling,” said Khan, who gained fame through viral performances and eccentric music videos on social media platforms.
Responding to criticism from certain sections of the entertainment fraternity, Khan said he was puzzled by the negativity. “I don’t understand why some singers have reservations about me,” he remarked. “I’ve only ever believed in hard work, and that’s what I’ve consistently done for the past ten years.”
