Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a crucial meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari at the President House on Tuesday, where the two top leaders engaged in detailed consultations on the country’s political, economic, and security situation.
The meeting was also attended by key members of the federal cabinet, including Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar, Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal, and Adviser on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah.
President Zardari welcomed the PM and his delegation upon arrival, following which both leaders discussed a wide range of issues — from constitutional and economic affairs to the evolving law and order situation.
The two leaders discussed peace and the law and order situation of the country as well as measures against terrorism. They also reiterated the commitment to work together for the stability and development of the country.
According to official sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif briefed the president on the government’s latest measures to stabilize and improve the national economy. He also shared updates on fiscal reforms and international economic engagement.
Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar reportedly briefed the president on key constitutional matters, reflecting ongoing legal and legislative developments.
The two leaders reaffirmed their joint commitment to working together for the stability, development, and prosperity of Pakistan, emphasizing unity in the face of domestic and international challenges.
Security issues also featured prominently in the discussion, particularly recent developments related to counter-terrorism efforts and measures to improve law and order across the country.
