Renowned Pakistani actor and TV host Imran Ashraf’s upcoming Canadian-Indian Punjabi film “Ehna Nu Rehan Sajhna Nai Aunda” is set to hit cinemas across Pakistan and worldwide on August 22.
Known for hosting the popular comedy show “Mazaq Raat” on Dunya News, Imran Ashraf has previously starred in several Pakistani films. However, this marks his debut in an international production. The film primarily features Canadian-based Indian Punjabi actors, along with several Pakistani Punjabi actors.
Imran Ashraf will be seen in the lead role, with the film directed by Rupen Bal. Indian Punjabi singer-actor Jassie Gill also stars in the film, along with Ranjit Bawa, Mandy Takhar, Sapna Pabbi, Nirmal Rishi, Nasir Chinyoti, and Nopreet Banga among others.
While the trailer doesn’t reveal much about the plot, it suggests the film centers around the lives of young students. The romantic comedy’s trailer has received positive feedback, and the filmmakers have officially announced its release date as August 22.
Since the film’s team largely consists of Canadian-origin Indians, there has so far been no objection from Indian Hindu circles over the inclusion of Pakistani actors.
It is expected that the film will be released in countries around the world, excluding India.
