Actress Hina Rizvi has announced her separation from husband and fellow actor Ammar Ahmed Khan, addressing growing speculation and online criticism with a candid and heartfelt message.
The announcement was made through an emotional Instagram story, just over a year after the couple tied the knot in April 2024.
“With a heavy heart, I announce that my husband Ammar Ahmed Khan and I have separated,” Hina wrote. “The dynamics of a marriage are only truly known to the two individuals in it.”
She also directly responded to negative commentary online, urging people to show empathy rather than judgment.
“Please don’t make our lives miserable with negative remarks,” she added.
Speculation about tension in the marriage had been building in recent days, fueled by Hina’s cryptic posts and quotes shared on social media. While confirming their separation, she clarified that the couple has not yet filed for divorce.
“We both need space right now to reflect and figure out what lies ahead,” she explained.
Known professionally as Sharmeen Hina Rizvi, she has earned acclaim for her roles in popular television dramas. Her portrayal of Aghu Jan in Fairy Tale earned her wide recognition and a growing fan base across Pakistan.
Hina is currently working on her upcoming television project Masafat, set to air soon.
