LAHORE: Players of the Pakistan cricket team have felicitated the nation on the occasion of the Independence Day.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared a video featuring ODI captain Mohammad Rizwan, T20I skipper Salman Ali Agha, Babar Azam, other players and management.
Mohammad Rizwan, in his message, congratulated the people of Pakistan on Independence Day.
Salman Agha also congratulated people of Pakistan in his message and urged them to try to keep Pakistan clean.
“Remember, it was on this day that Pakistan was created — a day that gave us our identity and defined who we are as a nation,” Babar Azam said.
The nation celebrates the 78th Independence Day today (Thursday) with traditional zeal and enthusiasm and with renewed resolve to work with the spirit of Pakistan Movement to make the country a true Islamic welfare state.
The day dawned with thirty-one gun salute in the federal capital and twenty-one gun salute in the provincial headquarters. Special prayers were offered after Fajr for security and progress of Pakistan and well-being of the people.
