In a candid conversation on a show, versatile TV Komal spoke about emotional toll of being body-shamed, saying the criticism deeply affected her.
“To be very honest, it did take a toll on me.” She shared that she had cried on multiple occasions due to harsh comments from those around her. While she initially tried to ignore online trolling, the negativity became harder to cope with when friends and acquaintances began making insensitive remarks.
“I expected empathy and understanding from people I knew, but instead, they added to my pain,” she revealed.
“Even now, I still get messages about my weight gain.”
Komal went on to say that many friends urged her to release a video explaining the reason behind her weight gain. However, she questioned the need to justify her personal life to the public:
“Whatever I say, they won’t believe it.”
She acknowledged that the criticism has now become a constant part of her life and that the pressure hasn’t eased, even as her career continues to flourish. Despite the challenges, Komal’s vulnerability and honesty have resonated with fans, who have praised her for speaking out about such a personal and often taboo subject.
Her openness has sparked important conversations about body image, empathy, and the expectations placed on public figures, especially young women navigating fame under the spotlight.
