Police in Lahore on Saturday lodged an FIR against 50 unidentified persons, including five lawyers, for attacking Punjab Food Authority (PFA) team and storming the department’s office.
Sections related to interference in official duty, beating up the Authority officers, harassing them and attempting to kill them, storming the Authority’s office and tearing the officers’ uniforms, were inserted in the FIR, which was registered on the complaint of Food Safety Officer Muhammad Shakil at Muslim Town police station of the city.
Dozens of people, including lawyers, had stormed the PFA’s building and thrashed its staff.
