Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Khadija Shah filed an appeal in the Lahore High Court (LHC) challenging the jail sentence awarded to her by an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in the Jinnah House attack case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The appeal was filed against the judge of the anti-terrorism court and the plaintiff. She stated in her appeal that she has no connection with the Jinnah House attack case, terming the case baseless and politically motivated.
She said that her trial, along with other accused, was conducted inside Kot Lakhpat jail. There were 51 accused nominated in the case.
Twelve accused were declared proclaimed offenders over their continued absence from the hearing, and 18 were awarded sentences.
Later, the court awarded her five-year jail terms and Rs100,000 fine. He prayed to the court to declare the verdict of ATC, which was announced on September 9, 2025, as null and void.
