Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that government is bringing a law against the land mafia, it was reported on Wednesday.
Addressing the Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) force passing out parade ceremony in Lahore, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said government is also forming new special courts and the decision on the land occupation case will be made within 90 days.
Maryam Nawaz said accused in land occupation cases will be imprisoned for 10 years on conviction.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that the establishment of PERA Force was my dream and it came true.
PERA Force have to protect people from oppression and bring justice and is responsible for 150 million people of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz said.
She said Punjab is the first province to bring forward a new model of governance.
PERA Force played a prominent role during the floods in Punjab, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz appreciated.
She said talented women are also included in the PERA Force.
Do not let the officers who pass out decrease in the service of the people, Maryam Nawaz instructed.
Chief Minister said hoarders and illegal profiteers will never be tolerated.
