Taylor says Travis is the reason she finally believes in marriage

Taylor Swift said marriage only started to feel “real” after meeting NFL star Travis Kelce. The 14-time Grammy winner opened up about her engagement, wedding thoughts, and life ahead during a heart-to-heart chat with Emma Bunton on Heart Radio.

Swift admitted she wasn’t someone who grew up fantasizing about weddings or bridal gowns.
“You would think I’d been the type of person to obsess over weddings my whole life, but I actually never thought about it until I met the person,” she said.

The singer explained that her relationship with Kelce changed that perspective entirely. “This is the first time I’ve thought about that,” she added, laughing about how her close friends are scattered around the world — making bachelorette party planning a challenge.

Swift brushes off ‘married life era’ buzz

Fans have been quick to label this moment as her “married life era,” but Swift pushed back gently.
“I mean, I just got engaged. These things just happened to me,” she told Bunton, clarifying that she’s still soaking in the excitement of this new chapter.

Still, Swift couldn’t hide her happiness. “I’m really excited about what’s ahead,” she said, hinting that marriage may finally be part of her real-life fairytale.

Engagement announcement and future plans

Swift and Kelce, both 35, announced their engagement on August 26 — the same day she appeared on The Graham Norton Show. The singer revealed Kelce’s proposal happened right after they recorded an episode of his popular podcast, New Heights.

When asked about the wedding timeline, Swift shared that planning isn’t on the top of her list just yet. “I’m prioritizing the release of my new album The Life of a Showgirl first,” she said.
