Aleem Khan urges PML-N, PPP to focus on governance, not rhetoric

Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) President and Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan on Monday urged leaders of the PML-N and PPP to focus on provincial development instead of issuing political statements.

He said that both Sindh and Punjab have elected chief ministers, and it would be better if the respective provincial governments worked where they hold a mandate.

People need solutions, not speeches

Abdul Aleem Khan emphasized that citizens are tired of political rhetoric and want solutions to their basic problems instead.

“People do not want political statements but solutions to their basic issues,” he said, expressing hope that the “chain of rhetoric” would now come to an end.

The IPP president added that both major parties must prioritize welfare and service delivery, urging the PPP to continue supporting the federal government in efforts to stabilize the country.

Calls for stability, mutual understanding

The federal minister underscored that national stability, continuity of the democratic system, and political maturity are crucial at this stage.

He said, “Mutual understanding must be followed to solve national problems. Blaming one another is no service to democracy or the people.”

Aleem Khan further added that current political circumstances require responsible behavior and cooperation among all parties to ensure progress in both Punjab and Sindh.

Reiterating his stance, Abdul Aleem Khan said that the stability of the country and the welfare of the people should remain the top priority of every political actor.

He concluded that the IPP’s focus remains on ensuring governance, unity, and continuity of the democratic process, which he described as the foundation for long-term national development.
