Over 70 notorious dacoits set to surrender in Shikarpur

In what is being described as the biggest breakthrough in the ongoing police operation in Sindh’s Kachha area, more than 70 wanted and dangerous dacoits have agreed to surrender along with their modern weapons, according to reliable sources.

The dacoits, belonging to the Belo Teghani, Badani, and other notorious gangs, are reportedly ready to lay down their arms before the authorities.

Sources said that the ringleader of the Teghani gang, Belo Teghani, a notorious bandit carrying a Rs 10 million (Rs 1 crore) bounty on his head, is also likely to appear with his associates to surrender.

The mass surrender is being hailed as a major success in the history of the anti-bandit operation in Shikarpur’s Kachha region, where police and Rangers have been conducting extensive operations for several months.

The formal surrender ceremony is scheduled to take place tomorrow at the Shikarpur Police Headquarters Ground, with Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, DG Rangers Sindh, and IG Sindh expected to attend.
