Sugar prices rise sharply across country

Sugar prices have risen sharply in various cities across the country, increasing by between Rs5.45 per kilogram within a month.

In Rawalpindi, the price of sugar rose from Rs185 to Rs190 per kilogram. In Islamabad, prices increased from Rs180 to between Rs185 and Rs190 per kilogram.

In Peshawar, sugar sells for Rs195 per kilogram, up from Rs190. Lahore experienced the highest rise, with prices climbing from Rs179 to Rs200 per kilogram.

In Karachi, prices increased from Rs190 to between Rs195 and Rs200 per kilogram. In Quetta, sugar sells for between Rs195 and Rs200 per kilogram, up from Rs190.

Faisalabad recorded the largest increase, with prices rising from Rs185 to Rs230 per kilogram.

In Multan, sugar prices moved from Rs185 to Rs200 per kilogram.
