Official documents have revealed that a total of 3,942 illegal Afghan citizens were repatriated from Rawalpindi during the first ten months of the year as part of the ongoing crackdown on undocumented foreign nationals.
According to the documents, 2,817 Afghans were sent back for lacking legal documents, while 232 individuals were deported after their visas expired. In addition, 22 ACC cardholders were also returned.
The data further shows that 665 people were identified as ACC cardholders and 1,394 as POR (Proof of Registration) cardholders. The total number of Afghan nationals detained during this period reached 5,154, out of which 1,027 were released following verification procedures.
Meanwhile, 185 Afghans remain detained at the holding center pending further verification. Officials said the repatriation drive would continue in accordance with government policy to ensure compliance with immigration laws.
