Katy Perry seems to have found new happiness following her split from longtime fiancé Orlando Bloom.
According to Us Weekly, the Firework singer is “really into” her connection with former Canadian PM Justin Trudeau and is enjoying a new phase of her life after parting ways with Bloom earlier this year.
“Katy is very happy,” a source told the outlet. “She’s trying to keep it low-key, and they’ve spent a lot of private time together. She’s not looking to publicize this relationship.”
The 40-year-old global star was first romantically linked to Trudeau in July 2025, when the pair were spotted enjoying an intimate dinner in Montreal.
Reports of their growing bond surfaced again earlier this month after paparazzi captured the duo getting cozy on a yacht, fueling speculation that a cross-continental romance was blooming.
While Perry’s friends reportedly see them as a “good match,” insiders revealed that Trudeau hasn’t yet met many people from the singer’s inner circle. Still, those close to the couple say their chemistry is undeniable.
Perry’s newfound romance comes just months after she ended her relationship with British actor Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares a five-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom. The pair confirmed their split in July after years of on-and-off relationship rumors.
In a joint statement shared earlier this year, representatives for the former couple emphasized that they were “shifting their relationship to focus on co-parenting,” adding that their top priority will always be raising their daughter “with love, stability, and mutual respect.”
Perry and Bloom began dating in 2016, got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019, and were often seen as one of Hollywood’s most admired couples. Before Bloom, the singer was married to comedian Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012.
Meanwhile, Justin Trudeau announced his separation from wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau in 2023 after 18 years of marriage. The former couple share three children. Trudeau stepped down as Canada’s Prime Minister in March 2025 after nearly a decade in office.
While insiders say Perry and Trudeau are keeping things private and “not serious yet,” their growing bond has already captured global attention.
