Since stepping away from royal life in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have built a close Hollywood circle — but one name notably missing from their star-studded list of friends is Taylor Swift.
According to reports, the global pop icon has declined two separate invitations to appear on Meghan’s now-cancelled podcasts, including Archetypes and her planned female empowerment series Confessions of a Female Founder. Despite Meghan’s personal outreach — including a handwritten letter — Taylor’s representatives reportedly turned down the offers.
The revelation has fuelled speculation of quiet tension between the Duchess and the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker. While Meghan is said to be a longtime “Swiftie”, even attending a 2023 Eras Tour concert in Los Angeles, Taylor has shown public support instead for Prince William, sharing a selfie with him and his children during her London concert last year — a post the Prince and Princess of Wales later captioned, “Thank you Taylor Swift for a great evening!”
Meanwhile, during a recent appearance on Hasan Minhaj’s podcast, Hasan Minhaj Doesn’t Know, Prince Harry proved hilariously out of the loop when asked about the rumored feud between Taylor Swift and British singer Charli XCX.
“The what?… Oh no,” Harry responded, looking completely puzzled as Minhaj described the so-called “diss track” saga linked to Taylor’s new album The Life of a Showgirl. The Duke smiled awkwardly as Minhaj continued to dissect the alleged pop rivalry before the segment ended in laughter.
Beyond the lighthearted exchange, Harry also addressed more serious topics — including the harmful effects of social media on young men and boys.
While Harry and Meghan continue to make waves in entertainment and activism, Taylor Swift’s continued distance from the couple — and her visible camaraderie with Prince William — has left fans wondering whether there’s a touch of “Bad Blood” between the Duchess and the world’s biggest pop star.
