Pakistan Peoples Party Azad Kashmir Parliamentary Party meeting has started at Zardari House Islamabad under the chair of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto. PPP central leader Faryal Talpur and PPP lawmakers of AJK assembly were present in the meeting.
The agenda of the meeting to review option of no confidence motion against AJK Prime Minister Ch Anwarul Haq who had lost majority and the confidence of his cabinet members. Moreover, detailed discussion on the formation of new government and nomination of the leader of the house will be held in the meeting.
Talking to media after parliamentary party meeting, Bilawal Bhutto announced that PPP has come in position to form government in AJK. He said PPP wanted that fresh elections should be held in Kashmir. PPP Chairman has assured the people of AJK that PPP will not let Kashmiris down. He said PPP has knowledge of Kashmir’s issues which will be resolve at their doorsteps.
To a question about PPP candidate for prime Minister of AJK, Bilawal said announcement of new prime minister of AJK will not be made from Islamabad, adding that new name will be announced from Kashmir.
He said PPP foundation was laid on Kashmir cause by ZA Bhutto.
He said due to non-political approach, there was political gulf in Kashmir which will be filled by the government. He said PPP was afraid that protests in Kashmir may not damage the cause.
Bilawal said PPP was the only party which has represented Kashmir at all forums in true sense.
