Maya Ali enjoys fun day with ‘little munchkin’ amid fashion feud controversy

Maya Ali treated fans to adorable moments from her day out with her niece, sharing heartwarming glimpses of their playful bonding amid an ongoing fashion controversy involving designer Faiza Saqlain.

Taking to Instagram, Maya posted a carousel of joyful photos with her niece, captioned: “Planned a little day out with my munchkin – ‘Phupo and Bhateeji’ day had to happen!

She added: “We started with pumpkin picking and oh my… the laughter, the smiles, the jumping … she was having the time of her life!

“But now that I look back, it’s pretty clear who had more fun. Sometimes all it takes is a day with your favorite little human to remind you how good it feels to say hello to your inner child.”

The post comes shortly after a fashion feud erupted on social media, with Faiza Saqlain accusing Maya Ali’s fashion label, Maya Pret, of copying her designs.

According to Galaxy Lollywood, Faiza alleged that Maya Pret had replicated her dress concepts and shoot styling. Expressing disappointment, the designer said it was “hurtful to see years of hard work being copied, especially by someone who was once a friend.”

The claims quickly divided social media users. While some supported Faiza, calling for originality in fashion, many defended Maya, saying the accusations were exaggerated.

One user commented, “These designs are so common in every festive wear brand of Pakistan. What is Faiza even talking about?” Another noted, “Maya supported Faiza’s brand for years–she was her muse! Now that Maya has her own label, people can’t handle her success.”

However, a few sided with Faiza, claiming “Maya Pret is clearly inspired by Faiza Saqlain’s aesthetic.”

The debate continues to dominate online fashion circles, with fans and followers weighing in on what’s become one of Pakistan’s most talked-about celebrity fashion rivalries of the year.
