Unidentified motorcyclists shot dead prominent religious scholar and local leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Maulana Abdus Salam in Charsadda on Tuesday, it was reported.
The shooting occurred within the limits of Police Station Mandani in Charsadda.
A police team rushed to the crime scene and collected evidence.
Later, they shifted the body to a hospital for postmortem.
