Pakistan’s Salman Ali Agha has gained significant recognition in the latest ICC ODI player rankings, following his century in the first ODI against Sri Lanka.
Several Pakistani players moved up the rankings, reflecting strong performances in recent matches.
The ICC’s latest update saw Salman Agha rise 14 places to 16th among ODI batsmen, rewarding his stellar 105-run innings against Sri Lanka. In addition, Agha also climbed seven spots to 11th in the all-rounders’ list, highlighting his growing impact on the team.
Other notable batting improvements included Saim Ayub, who jumped 18 places to 35th, Mohammad Rizwan moving up four spots to 27th, and Fakhar Zaman rising five places to 31st.
Babar Azam, Pakistan’s captain, slipped slightly by two places to 7th, maintaining his position among the world’s top batsmen.
In bowling, no Pakistani is currently among the top 15, with Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan maintaining the top spot. Fast bowler Shaheen Afridi is the highest-ranked Pakistani at 16th, while spinner Abrar Ahmed climbed 18 places to 20th. Haris Rauf moved up two spots to 29th position, reflecting a steady improvement in Pakistan’s pace attack.
