Punjab Bar Council called for complete strike in courts across the province today against blast in District Court Islamabad, it was reported on Wednesday.
According to Punjab Bar Council, lawyers will not appear in courts today and strike will be held as a mark of mourning and solidarity with Islamabad lawyers.
Lahore High Court Bar also expressed deep sorrow and anger over Islamabad District Court blast. However, Lahore High Court will hear cases as usual today.
Lawyers demanded transparent investigation of the incident from the government and exemplary punishment for those responsible.
Lawyers also demanded effective security arrangements in courts.
