No one’s father can abolish 18th Amendment: Bilawal

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari ha said that no one’s father can abolish 18th Amendment as all political parties were in agreement on the 18th Amendment, adding that the government has majority for the 27th Amendment.

Addressing National Assembly session on Wednesday, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto said Maulana Fazl had sought PTI’s permission to vote on 26th Amendment. PPP said, “We will continue to make the Charter of Democracy a complete and constitutional court.”

Bilawal said Modi was defeated in the battle for truth therefore the government was going to give constitutional protection to the position of Field Marshal.

Bilawal said, “it would have been appropriate if the opposition had supported the 27th Amendment.”

PPP chairman said “Opposition’s job is not to cry for its leader or free the prisoner.”

He said 27th Constitutional Amendment is a historic achievement. Bilawal said all provinces will be represented in the Constitutional Court. He said courts insulted even the Prime Minister by imposing suo moto. He said there will be no ‘suo moto’ after the 27th Amendment.

He said, “We will have to move towards reconciliation.”  Bilawal Bhutto advised Opposition not to leave political and parliamentary arena.

He said after the 18th Amendment, the tax collection of the provinces was better than that of the federation.

Bilawal Bhutto said, “We will talk to the federation about more authority over the provinces”.

PPP chairman said, “if the federation fails in tax collection, then do not punish the provinces.”

Bilawal Bhutto said the power to collect taxes should be given to the provinces.

Talking about war of terrorism, Bilawal Bhutto strongly condemned terrorist incidents in the country. He said, “We will defeat terrorists at all costs as terrorists had been defeated before too. Bilawal said everyone must unite against terrorism as terrorists were raising their heads once again.
