Bollywood actress and dancer Nora Fatehi has strongly denied circulating reports claiming she attended alleged drug parties in Mumbai.
In a statement shared on Instagram, Nora labeled the reports as “false” and said her name was being wrongly associated with the matter.
She wrote, “I do not attend such parties. I am constantly traveling and spend most of my time working. I have no connection with individuals involved in such activities.”
The actress added that on her days off, she spends time at home, on Dubai beaches, or with school friends. “My entire day and night are devoted to my work, dreams, and goals,” she said. She noted that this is not the first time baseless propaganda has targeted her reputation, but this time she will not remain silent.
Nora warned, “Please do not use my name or image in matters with which I have no connection. There will be serious consequences.”
Her statement comes after media reports claimed that she, along with Shraddha Kapoor and other Bollywood celebrities, allegedly attended Rave parties organised by a detained drug dealer, Mohammad Salim Mohammad Sohail Sheikh, also known as ‘Sohail.’
According to reports, Sohail told Mumbai police that he hosted these parties for Bollywood and fashion industry figures, which reportedly included Dawood Ibrahim’s nephew, Ali Shah Parker.
Last month, Sheikh was deported from Dubai and is currently in the custody of the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) at Ghatkoper. ANC officials have not ruled out questioning the celebrities named in Sheikh’s confessional statement.
