Thirteenth round of Pak-Iran political consultations held in Islamabad

The thirteenth round of Pakistan-Iran political consultations was held in Islamabad, bringing together senior officials from both countries to discuss bilateral and regional issues, it was reported on Monday.

The Pakistani delegation was led by Foreign Secretary Amina Baloch, while the Iranian side was headed by Deputy Minister for Political Affairs Majid Takht-e-Ravanchi.

According to a Foreign Office spokesperson, the two delegations held comprehensive discussions covering all aspects of bilateral relations and reviewed the implementation of decisions taken during the previous round of consultations.

Both sides agreed to promote cooperation in areas including trade, energy, transport, education, and people-to-people contacts.

Important regional and global issues were also deliberated during the meeting. The spokesperson added that the next round of political consultations will be held in Tehran.
