Acting US Ambassador Natalie Baker called on Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad on Tuesday and discussed a string of issues with him, it was reported.
During the meeting, Natalie Baker condemned last week’s suicide bombing in Islamabad and expressed sympathy with families of the deceased.

Talking on the occasion, Mosin Naqvi said the terrorist wanted to target the court but was unable to enter due to the tight security.
Mohsin Naqvi said all characters linked to the attack were traced and facilitators were arrested while comprehensive investigation was under way.
Negotiations and terrorist attacks cannot go together, Mohsin Naqvi said.
He said Pakistan-US relations are based on friendship and mutual trust.
Acting US Ambassador Natalie Baker appreciated Pakistan’s counter-terrorism efforts.
IG Islamabad Police and other officials were also present on the occasion.
