Former Pakistan cricket team captain Azhar Ali has resigned from his roles at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Azhar Ali submitted his resignation to PCB officials, stepping down from his duties as Director of Youth Development and national team selector.
Azhar’s decision to part ways with the board marks the end of his dual role, which he had held since his appointment. PCB authorities have yet to issue an official statement confirming the resignation or outlining the next steps for his replacement.
Azhar Ali’s departure comes amid broader discussions about the structure and strategy of Pakistan’s youth cricket development program. His exit may prompt a re-evaluation of the PCB’s youth and selection policies ahead of future domestic and international competitions.
