Multan Sultans have raised fresh concerns with Pakistan Super League management, sending another letter demanding a valuation report and a new offer letter, sources confirmed.
The move comes amid ongoing tension between the franchise and the PSL administration.
According to sources, Multan Sultans management has formally requested the PSL to provide a detailed valuation report and the updated offer letter. The letter also seeks an explanation for why the franchise has not yet received the new contract.
The franchise insists it has not received clarity from the PSL despite repeated communication, escalating the ongoing dispute.
Current PSL contracts still valid
Sources confirmed that the existing contracts for all PSL franchises, including Multan Sultans, remain valid until December 31. The PSL management has neither suspended nor canceled Multan Sultans’ contract.
However, it is reported that Multan Sultans did not receive the updated PSL contract due to non-compliance with certain policy requirements.
Background
Previously, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had issued a legal notice to Multan Sultans, which was reportedly torn up by franchise owner Ali Tareen. Ali Tareen has also publicly criticized PSL management multiple times.
Meanwhile, PCB extended new contracts to the remaining five franchises — Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators, and Lahore Qalandars — with a 25% increase in contract value, giving them 10 days to sign. Sources indicate Multan Sultans did not comply with the requirements and the valuation report was not sent to the franchise.
