Police on Tuesday night took jailed former prime minister Imran Khan’s three sisters into custody from Adiala Road and shifted them to an undisclosed location.
After taking Aleema Khan, Noreen Khan and Uzma Khan into custody, police were able to end Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) sit-in on Adiala Road.
Later, police took Aleema, Noreen and Uzma several kilometres away from Adiala Jail and released them at the Chakri Interchange.
After their release, Aleema and her sisters left for Lahore via the motorway.
Aleema and her sisters were taken into custody by the police near Adiala Jail where they had been staging a sit-in for 10 hours on Tuesday against the government’s refusal to allow them to meet their jailed brother, former prime minister Imran Khan.
