PM forms committee for holding South Asian Games in Pakistan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif constituted a special committee for holding of 14th South Asian Games in Pakistan, it was reported on Saturday.

The Committee will be headed by Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Foreign Minister (FM) Senator Ishaq Dar.

The Committee will review preparations for holding of SAF Games. The Committee will consider expenditures for games, sports infrastructure, and security plans.

The committee will finalize its recommendations. Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Mohammad Aurangzeb, Senator Rana Sanaullah, Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) President Arif Saeed, and Rana Mashood will be part of the committee.

Representatives from the defence department, four chief ministers, and representatives from Inter-Provincial Coordination, interior and finance secretaries, and other relevant officials will also attend the meeting.
