Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a detailed meeting with Qatar’s Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani in Doha, it was reported on Monday.
The meeting discussed bilateral cooperation in security-related fields and ways to strengthen and further bolster them, in addition to addressing a number of issues of mutual concern.
Both ministers agreed to strengthen coordination among coast guards to adopt a joint strategy to curb narcotics smuggling.
Mohsin Naqvi thanked the Qatari Minister for his assistance in establishing a latest firing range in the National Police Academy in Islamabad.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said, “Pakistan is waiting to welcome the Qatari interior minister.”
