Celina Jaitly files domestic violence case against husband Peter Haag

Bollywood actress Celina Jaitly has filed a domestic violence case against her husband, Austrian entrepreneur and hotelier Peter Haag, accusing him of emotional, physical, sexual and verbal abuse.

The actress has also sought 500 million Indian rupees as compensation for loss of earnings, alleging Haag repeatedly restricted her from working and deprived her of financial independence.

The petition was filed in a Mumbai court on November 21, following which a notice was issued to Haag, whom Jaitly described as a “narcissist” and a “self-absorbed individual” lacking empathy toward her and their children. The couple, married since 2010, share three children — twin boys Winston and Viraaj, and their younger son Arthur.

Jaitly, 47, said she was forced to flee their home in Austria with no safety or support. She has sought ₹10 lakh monthly maintenance, custody of the children — currently living with Haag in Austria — and a restraining order stopping him from entering her Mumbai residence.

Her petition claims Haag “prohibited” her from taking up work after the birth of their children, allowing only minor projects with his permission. She said this destroyed her financial independence and dignity. The plea also mentions that Haag filed for divorce in an Austrian court in August 2024.

Celina and Haag became parents to twin boys in 2012. In 2017, she delivered a second set of twins, one of whom tragically passed away due to a hypoplastic heart condition.

Ironically, just last year, Celina had shared a romantic anniversary post praising Haag, recalling his heartfelt proposal and their journey through “many highs and many, many lows.”

The case comes shortly after Jaitly approached a Delhi court seeking help for her brother, Major (r) Vikrant Jaitly, who she alleges has been “illegally detained” in the UAE since September 2024.

She claimed the Ministry of External Affairs has failed to provide updates on his wellbeing or legal status.
The court has directed authorities to ensure communication between the actress, her brother, and his wife while efforts continue to clarify his situation.
