Maya Ali teases fans with glimpse of upcoming role

Maya Ali has sent fans into a frenzy after sharing a sneak peek of her upcoming project on Instagram.

The actress posted two photos with the caption, “Salam from Miss K….!! #ComingSoon,” sparking curiosity about her new character.

With her expressive look, chic styling, and mysterious caption, Maya hinted at an intriguing role without giving away any details.

Fans quickly filled the comments section, praising her versatility and speculating about the storyline.

Maya Ali began her career as a video jockey before making her drama debut in Durr-e-Shehwar in 2012.

She later rose to fame with hit dramas such as Aun Zara, Mann Mayal, Diyar-e-Dil, and Jo Bichar Gaye.

She has also appeared in major films, including Teefa in Trouble and Parey Hut Love.

Recently, Maya found herself at the centre of a fashion controversy after designer Faiza Saqlain accused her brand, Maya Pret, of copying her designs.

According to Galaxy Lollywood, Faiza alleged that Maya Pret replicated her concepts, from dress patterns to shoot styling.

The designer expressed disappointment, saying it was painful to see years of her creative work reproduced, especially by someone who was once a friend.

The accusations immediately divided social media. While many users sided with Faiza, calling the alleged similarities problematic, others defended Maya, arguing that the designs were common across Pakistani festive wear.

One user wrote, “Is it only me who can’t see a single resemblance? They’re completely different!” Another commented, “These designs are everywhere. Nothing about them is exclusive to Faiza Saqlain.”

Supporters also reminded Faiza of Maya’s long-standing backing of her brand. “Can Faiza mention how Maya promoted her label for years? Her support helped Faiza’s brand grow,” one person remarked.

Some users went further, questioning Faiza’s own originality. “What about her tie-and-dye sarees inspired by Manish Malhotra?” a fan asked.

Still, a few voices agreed with Faiza, insisting that “Maya Pret is heavily inspired by Faiza Saqlain.”
