Farhan Saeed has once again made it clear that the cold war between him and Feroze Khan is far from thawing. Appearing on Ahmad Ali Butt’s Excuse Me podcast, the actor-singer delivered a razor-edged one-liner when asked what he’d serve Feroze if the Khaani actor ever came over for dinner. Without missing a beat, Farhan responded: “Feroze roza hi rakh kar aye,” after which the host and Suno Chanda actor burst into laughter.
When asked what he’d serve other celebs at his home, Farhan grinned that Iqra Aziz would get a simple plate of vegetables, Mahira Khan an elegant fork-and-knife meal of her choice, and Sajal a special aloo biryani.
For Iman Ali, he promised a fancy deconstructed lemon tart, and for friend Qasim Yar Tiwana, Karahi or Paaye. He even joked he’d deck out the dining table extravagantly for Humayun Saeed – “I will decorate the entire table for him, I think he is a beautiful man.”
But it was Farhan’s answer about Feroze Khan that stole the show: amid laughter, he quipped “Feroze roza hi rakh kar aye,” loosely meaning “Feroze, just keep your fast,” a sarcastic blow to the real-life tension between the two actors. And it didn’t stop there.
“I would change the cast… the casting was not right, there were unprofessional people involved,” answered the Pi Jaun singer when asked what he would change about his wife Urwa Hocane’s first production, Tich Button.
Was he hinting at Feroze again?

Given that the Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3’s actor was one of the film’s leads, and given their history, the implication was impossible to ignore. Farhan’s playful jab was not made in a vacuum. He and Feroze have been involved in a public showdown since early 2023, centring on a notorious data leak.
In January that year, Feroze accidentally leaked personal contact details of several celebrities (including Farhan Saeed, Aiman Khan, Asim Azhar, Sarwat Gillani, Minal Khan and more, along with their residential details) on social media, triggering outrage among those affected.
Farhan wasted no time in seeking redress: he served Feroze Khan a legal notice demanding a written public apology and damages for the privacy breach. Feroze soon posted a public apology for the “mistake” of revealing private information.
While Farhan publicly expressed their disgust at the stunt, actor Fahad Mirza called Feroze a “moron of the highest order”. In short, Farhan’s friendly roast on the podcast comes on the heels of a very real skirmish between him and Feroze.

Farhan and Feroze are also co-stars in the film Tich Button (2022). That movie itself has been plagued by off-camera drama. Co-star Sonya Hussyn last year took the producer Urwa Hocane to court for breach of contract, claiming Urwa never paid Sonya her full agreed-upon fee.
In a legal notice, Sonya demanded full dues and Rs 5 million in damages for mental distress.
Feroze Khan and Sonya were also no-shows at the pre-launch and promotion events.
Earlier in the Something Haute’s (2020) interview, Aamna Haider Isani directly asked Feroze Khan about his bond with Farhan Saeed and their camaraderie while working on Tich Button; she pointed out how Farhan and Feroze seemed like “brothers” on screen, and asked Feroze’s expectations from the film pre-signing, and what he was looking forward to post-release.
Instead of acknowledging the teamwork or even Farhan’s involvement as a co-producer alongside his wife, Urwa Hocane, Feroze conveniently dismissed Aamna’s remarks regarding his fellow actor.
Instead, he said that he only signed Tich Button out of loyalty to director Qasim Ali Mureed, whom he credited as the real reason for joining. His exact stance was that Qasim was “a dear friend,” and he did the film for him, not for anybody else.
For now, Farhan Saeed’s witty “roza” quip on the podcast is a reminder that Pakistani showbiz rarely separates on-screen roles from off-screen rivalries, and proves that the effortless on-screen chemistry audiences adore often has not much to do with the real-life equations actors share behind the scenes.
