Justice (retd) Yar Muhammad took oath as Caretaker Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan in Gilgit on Wednesday.
The oath-taking ceremony was held at Governor House, while Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah administered the oath.
The ceremony was attended by Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Engineer Amir Muqam and a large number of political leaders and government officials.
Later, the caretaker CM GB met with Governor GB Syed Mehdi Shah. Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Engineer Amir Muqam was also present in the meeting.
The meeting discussed overall regional situation, administrative matters and steps needed for good governance during the caretaker tenure.

The Federal Minister congratulated the caretaker Chief Minister on assuming responsibilities and expressed the hope that the caretaker government will play its due role in carrying out transparent and effective administrative affairs in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Governor Syed Mehdi Shah stressed the importance of the federal government’s cooperation for the development projects and public welfare in the region.
On this occasion Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (R) Yar Muhammad expressed his determination to give top priority to the public interest while discharging his responsibilities in an impartial and professional manner.
