Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to abandon anti-Pakistan narrative and wrong priorities and prioritize the interests of the state and the people of Pakistan.
In a statement on his X handle uploaded on Friday, Attaullah Tarar said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, has adopted such a political approach which has set aside giving governance to the people of the province.
Tarar said PTI is only focusing on just one illegal demand; seeking political guidance from the founder, who is in Adiala Jail in a corruption case. He said this attitude is against the rules and regulations of the jail.
The minister said being at the forefront province of Pakistan in the war against terrorism, the party leadership kept on doing politics on this illegal narrative day and night in Islamabad despite that the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should prioritize peace, development and public relief.
Tarar said a female politician of the PTI allegedly launched a vile campaign regarding Khan Sahib on anti-Pakistan accounts operating from Afghanistan and Indian media under a very negative strategy.
The minister said this campaign was an attempt to defame Pakistan at the globe. He further said this behaviour is an unconcealed hostility towards Pakistan and an attempt to damage the reputation of the country.
