Rs3.70 per liter cut in petrol price proposed

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has sought permission from the federal government for a reduction in petroleum prices with effect from December 1, 2025, it was reported on Friday.

Sources said that in case of approval, the petrol will be available at Rs261.75 per liter instead of Rs255.45 per liter, down by Rs3.70.

The price of one litre of high-speed diesel (HSD) will be reduced by Rs4.28 per litre, and the HSD will be sold at Rs280.16 instead of Rs284.44 per litre.

The sources further revealed that the price of kerosene oil will be reduced by 73 paisa per liter. The price of one liter of light-speed diesel will decrease by Rs6.35 per liter if given green signal by the government.
