A grand jirga was held in Miranshah under the auspices of Pakistan Army, which was attended by tribal elders from across North Waziristan, it was reported on Wednesday.
General Officer Commanding (GOC) Miranshah welcomed the participants and praised their role in ensuring peace and tranquility in the area.
The participants had a detailed discussion on the security situation in North Waziristan.
They also gave their proposals regarding the ongoing development projects and administrative issues in the area.
The tribal elders renewed their pledge to continue to support the security forces till the elimination of militants from the area.
