Punjab govt inks accord with RUDA for Journalists Colony phase 2

On the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, Journalists Colony phase 2 agreement has been approved on Thursday.

Secretary Punjab Information Department Syed Tahir Hamdani and Brigadier (r) Mansoor Ahmed Janjua of RUDA (Ravi Urban Development Authority) singed the accord amid the presence of RUDA Chief Executive Officer Imran Amin.

According to the agreement, RUDA will provide developed plots to journalists in 3-5 years instalment plan. While each member will deposit Rs 62,500 challan in Punjab Journalists Housing Foundation for the plot.

Information Secretary Tahir Hamdani said under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s vision every journalist will be provided with roof.

On the occasion CEO RUDA said residential standards for journlists colony phase two will be at par with Chahar Bagh scheme. He gave assurance that monthly installments will reasonable for journalists.
