Ali Zafer celebrates 1.3M views, lip-syncs joyfully to Zalim Nazron Se

Ali Zafer marked a milestone this week after his newly-launched track Zalim Nazron Se reached 1.3 million views.

Posting a reel on Instagram story to thank fans, he writes: “1.3 million views and still counting, your love made this moment special. Keep watching, keep vibing!”

Ali Zafar teamed up with legendary singer Ali Haider to revive the cult classic Zalim Nazron Se, releasing a vibrant new remix on November 21st that blended the old-school melody and lyrics with a modern twist.

Produced by Shani Haider, the track fused Jawaid Akhtar’s timeless composition with Roshan Naginavi’s original lyrics.

Zafar described working with Haider (in a fresh, funky style) as “both a joy and an honour,” noting that the remake was meant to celebrate “our memories” of the original while bringing it on “a new journey”.

He also thanked lyricist Roshan Naginavi and composer Jawaid Akhtar for their iconic contributions to the beloved song. The official music video – shot in Los Angeles – bristles with retro-inspired visuals and stylised choreography.

In the video, Zafar appears in a series of sleek red, white, and blue outfits as he struts and dances around a glossy sports car. Ali Haider is featured in a black leather trench coat and sunglasses, lending him a rock-star cool.

Behind the duo, a troupe of dancers adds high-energy moves; they wear tight all-black costumes (from thigh-length cutouts to cropped or off-the-shoulder tops), injecting a Western disco vibe into the scene.

This splashy, cinematic aesthetic is meant as a nod to the golden era of Pakistani pop, but it marks a departure from the simplicity of the original 1990s video.
