Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh and superstar Deepika Padukone made a striking appearance in Mumbai on Friday, arriving hand-in-hand and sharing warm smiles as they posed for photographs at the Swadesh store.
The couple attended the event to celebrate the holiday season and honour Indian craftsmanship and cultural stories.
Ranveer opted for a cream-coloured sherwani paired with white trousers, while Deepika dazzled in a Patan Patola double ikat silk saree. The couple held hands as they entered the venue and continued to pose together in front of the paparazzi, drawing admiration for their coordinated elegance.
Deepika later shared additional pictures of her look on Instagram. In the caption, she wrote, “Handwoven navratan patan patola by artisan Bhawar Singh, reimagined through Anamika Khanna’s mulmul blooms and a handmade Banaras border — an ode to Swadesh, and a love letter to the artisans who hold our heritage in their hands.”
The couple recently revealed the face of their daughter, Dua Padukone Singh, during Diwali celebrations. Ranveer and Deepika welcomed their daughter on September 8, 2024, and had previously announced her name with a heartfelt message. They wrote, “Dua: meaning a prayer. Because she is the answer to our prayers. Our hearts are filled with love and gratitude.” The two, who married in 2018, introduced their daughter to the world last Diwali.
