Ayesha Omar wore a distinctly traditional outfit to the Overseas Pakistani Power Awards in London, appearing in a green saree styled with contemporary touches.
The Bulbulay actress’s recent reel shared on her Instagram flaunting her saree has already passed 70,000 views!
The base of the outfit is a lime-to-emerald-toned saree. The lower half (the pleated skirt portion) is finished in a brighter, chartreuse-green fabric with a subtle all-over sequin or mirror-dot texture.
The saree’s hem and pleat edge are framed with a broad, heavily embroidered border: multiple rows of metallic threadwork and beadwork in gold, accented by a thin pink piping that outlines the edge.
This border provides the visual weight at the saree’s base and balances the sheerness of the upper drape.
The pallu (draped portion) and the upper half are in a sheer, slightly darker green net. The pallu features spaced, circular embroidered motifs in gold that repeat along its length, and it is edged with the same ornate border seen at the hem. The net is translucent enough to reveal the blouse beneath.

The blouse is a contrasting element: a fitted, sleeveless top in a pink base with floral embroidery in complementary shades. The blouse’s embroidery includes metallic threads that harmonise with the saree’s gold borders, creating cohesion between the contrasting colours.

The fit is contemporary and cropped to the saree’s waistline, leaving a narrow exposed midriff that is part of the overall styling choice.
The Lazawaal Ishq host wears long, tiered gold jhumka-style earrings that echo the saree’s metallic details. Her hair is set in deep side-parted, soft waves that fall over one shoulder, a classic red-carpet look that keeps the face visible while complementing the saree’s traditional lines.
Makeup is polished and neutral, with defined brows, warm-toned eyes, and a natural lip, allowing the outfit itself to remain the focal point.
